Coraline (2009) was the first stop-motion feature to be conceived and photographed in stereoscopic 3D. Written and directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach).

Among other awards in 2009, Coraline was nominated for an Academy Award®, and also captured the prestigious Cristal at the Annecy International Animation Festival in France.

This was my first experience in the world of Stop-motion animation.  I worked as a Costume Fabrication Assistant, sewing and assembling miniature clothes, sock, and boots.  I was involved in the creation of some puppets from the beginning, as well as assisting in the duplication of many of the puppets. It is in the duplicating where I learned the basic construction of an animated costume.
